This is my sole excursion into the heady realm of the handbell choir. In 1992 a group with an impossible name (AGEHR - Alberta Guild of English Handbell Ringers) was seeking a Canadian work to be played by the massed handbell choir at a convention in Australia the next spring (can you imagine the sound made by hundreds of handbell ringers?). I rose to the challenge and wrote this arrangement combining two indigenous folksongs, however it was not finally chosen. Such is life.
